Bio

My fascination with body knowledge has guided my life's work.  I was introduced to Rolfing in Boulder, Colorado toward the end of my career in modern dance. I was so inspired by the life-affirming changes and support I received from my first Rolfing Ten Series,  I immediately applied to The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration to learn and share this profound experience with others.

My approach to bodywork is very thorough and respectful of the person who is courageous to seek positive, accelerated change.  My touch is comforting, being informed by energy techniques and a long career in modern dance. I concentrate to flow energy through channels of connective tissue slowly and in close communication with you as the recipient. It is important to know Rolfing treats every layer of tissue from surface to deep.  It is not just a deep tissue modality.  When deeper pressure could be useful, people are often surprised how honoring and relaxing it can be when applied gradually and with sensitivity to your feedback.  Paradoxically, the deepest layers of connective tissue, such as those around the spinal cord and organs, require the greatest sensitivity to be granted access by your body's innate intelligence.

As each client is unique, it is my intention to be responsive to your personal objectives and preferences.  Some people enjoy deeper, more intense bodywork. Others require a gentle approach. This can vary from one part of your body to another or from one day to the next. We need to listen to what your body is asking for which will allow it to release from the past and adopt new patterns of organization.  As an intuitive team we will shape the direction, personality and content of your sessions.

"I so appreciate your work.  Our sessions are teaching me how to surrender into my body because your touch goes deep, yet feels soft at the same time.  It is good for my nervous system to learn I can change without struggle and pain.  It wasn't that way in my family.  I also love that you use your intuition in addition to your clinical skills.  In this way we meet as whole person to whole person."
